E=mc² & The Power of The Resurrection
I am the Light of the world. . .
He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness,
but will have the Light of Life.
Although brilliant in their fields of study, I am persuaded to believe that Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton never understood the true nature and purpose of the laws of physics according to Spirit. Bearing this in mind, let us read the following with spiritual eyes.
Energy = mass (x) the speed of Light (raised to the Power of Two)
Newton's Laws of Motion:
An object in a state of uniform motion or rest, will remain in that state unless an external force acts upon it.
The force acting on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration [working].
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
“Behold, I SHEW YOU A MYSTERY; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, AND WE SHALL BE CHANGED.” - 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
Per Britanica, “The equation E=mc2 is German-born physicist Albert Einstein’s theory of special relativity that expresses the fact that mass and energy are the same physical entity and can be changed into each other. In the equation, the increased relativistic mass (m) of a body times the speed of light squared (c2) is equal to the kinetic energy (E) of that body.
In physical theories prior to that of special relativity, mass and energy were viewed as distinct entities. Furthermore, the energy of a body at rest could be assigned an arbitrary value. In special relativity, however, the energy of a body at rest is determined to be mc2. Thus, each body of rest mass m possesses mc2 of “rest energy,” which potentially is available for conversion to other forms of energy. The mass-energy relation, moreover, implies that, if energy is released from the body as a result of such a conversion, then the rest mass of the body will decrease. Such a conversion of rest energy to other forms of energy occurs in ordinary chemical reactions, but much larger conversions occur in nuclear reactions. This is particularly true in the case of nuclear fusion reactions that transform hydrogen to helium, in which 0.7 percent of the original rest energy of the hydrogen is converted to other forms of energy. Stars like the Sun shine from the energy released from the rest energy of hydrogen atoms that are fused to form helium.” [End Quote].
So then, what this means is that ENERGY can do nothing on its own until it is USED. In the physical world, we cannot live without breathing air, yet air is invisible to the naked eye. Wind and breath are used symbolically of the Holy Spirit, apart from whom there can be NO LIFE in the realm of the Divine. The Holy Spirit is thus God’s breath. . .God’s ENERGY FORCE by which He accomplishes His purpose and executes His will. Many times we have thought of the Holy Spirit as POWER, but power denotes the ability TO ACT which means it can also be dormant in someone or something. FORCE, on the other hand, is always active. It is energy when projected and exerted upon persons and things. POWER is like stored energy in a battery; it's just there, inactive. . .until it is used. FORCE, on the other hand, is like the current flowing from the battery which is USED to start the car and keep it running. FORCE more accurately describes the Hebrew and Greek terms relating to God’s Spirit moreso than the word "power".
ALL spirit is energy whether it is used for good or evil. Energy has many forms, but it is not something that you can see or hold in your hand. Energy can make things change. For example, a moving object has energy because it can change things by crashing into them. Heat energy can change ice by melting it into water. Heat it more and it changes into vapor. Chemical energy, for example, can be oil that lights a lantern. It is also the food that nourishes your body and gives it energy. Then you have atomic energy which can be separated out from the atoms in certain materials. There is also the energy that is carried by light waves, called electromagnetic energy. This is the energy in sunlight that warms the earth. Streaming out of the sun, light waves carry energy to us through nearly a hundred million miles of space. When the energy of the light hits the earth, part of it changes to heat while another part is stored in plants as chemical energy. Such is the effect on us by God’s Son.
John chapter 1:6-14
“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” Isn’t this amazing!
Yet, there is another kind of energy of which WE, the people of God, are aware of called SPIRIT ENERGY. In physics, energy is known as the capacity for "doing work". The Greek noun for energy is energeo and its verb form is energeia. Because of the association between “doing work” and “energy,” the words are generally translated into English as “work” or “working.” “That ye may know. . .what is the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe, according to the working (energeia) of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead” (Ephesians 1:18-20). It was energy, and more specifically. . .God’s energy, which raised Christ from the dead! And not only that, but this scripture also states that He was raised up by the SPIRIT of the Father! That is, SPIRIT ENERGY!
And, not only did Paul say that it was God’s energy. . .His invisible power in motion as FORCE. . .which raised Christ up, but he went on to say that it was this same energy of God which transformed his own life and made him a minister of Jesus Christ!! “Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working (energeia) of HIS POWER” (Ephesians 3:7). In other words, “I was made a minister. . .by the effectual energizing of HIS POWER.” Then on top of this, Paul goes on to declare that it is this same ENERGIZING or SPIRIT ENERGY of God which is WORKING OR ENERGIZING WITHIN US to bring us unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ! “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working (energizing) of every part, maketh increase of the body. . .” (Ephesians 4:16).
Paul continues, saying that, “he that is JOINED unto the Lord is one spirit” (I Corinthians 6:17). ONE SPIRIT! ONE ENERGY SOURCE! ONE ENERGY FORCE! I AND THE LORD! Not just POWER — but ENERGY! “There is one body, and ONE SPIRIT!” (Ephesians 4:4). When you or I are in union with the Lord we become. . .we ARE. . .that one spirit!!! All spirit is energy that is exerting a force, or influence upon creation. GOD is the supreme source of energy, the highest and purest form of energy, and it is beyond our comprehension! Even though there are many spirits operating in the world, it is when we are in union with God WE ARE THE ULTIMATE ENERGY SOURCE FOR ALL THINGS! All creation stands on tip-toe to see the wonderful sight of the sons of God pouring forth the energy of Divine Spirit — love, joy, peace, righteousness, provision, and power! Through this ministration of the manifest sons of God ALL THINGS SHALL BE CHANGED! “Behold, I make all things new” (Revelation 21:5).
The Holy Spirit is God’s energy force. It is God’s energy force projected and exerted upon creation. It is God’s motion, action, and influence in one measure or another upon, in, and through man. Elohim accomplished the creation of the universe by means of His Spirit. . .His energy force. . .His very LIFE FORCE. The scriptures state that in the earth's formative stages that “The Spirit (energy force) of God was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters” (Genesis 1:2). Psalm 33:6 says, “By THE WORD of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath (spirit, out-breathing) of His mouth.” Like a powerful breath of living wind, God’s Spirit can be sent forth to exert power even though there is no bodily or visible contact with that which is acted upon. I've witnessed many miracles of healing, and even experienced one for myself, yet while I could never see with my eyes the cause of the healing, I was awed by its visible and undeniable effect. Like a carpenter who uses the force of his hands and fingers to build things, God uses His Spirit - that is HIS BREATH - HIS WORD. Jesus told the Pharisees, “If I cast out devils by the SPIRIT (FORCE) of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you” (Matthew 12:28). But Luke, in recording the same event, expresses it thus: “If I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you” (Luke 11:20). The Spirit of God is the FINGER of God, the working, energizing, and activity of God in man.
Because the wind is both invisible and powerful, the biblical words ruach and pneuma gradually took on much wider meanings and came to represent any invisible power or influence, good or bad, positive or negative. When the power of God's Spirit is exercised (energized) in us, it is done through channels and by agencies beyond human sight or perception. It is this invisible and powerful ENERGY FORCE which motivates and transforms our lives into the image of God. His Spirit is now OUR SPIRIT because we are JOINED to the Lord and are now ONE SPIRIT, not many! Only by God’s Holy Spirit within us are we guided beyond the outer senses, and beyond the letter of the Word, into the glorious and eternal reality of “the deep things of God,” even all those things which God has in reservation for them that truly love Him, which the human eye hath not seen, the human ear hath not heard, neither hath entered into the human heart to understand and appreciate. What glorious words are these when we realize the true spiritual nature of what Einstein and Newton discovered in the physical realm!
And, just to give our readers a more personal example of how the spiritual nature of the laws of physics drives our physical world, we turn to the “equal rights” movements of various kinds that have swept our country in recent years. These many and diverse movements are people filled with the spirit of “equal rights”! They eat, sleep, and dream, equal rights. They are consumed with a desire to petition, organize, and march. Nothing else matters. Their money, time, and energy is exhausted as they pour themselves into the struggle for equality. They are literally FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT of equal status for all people. These people are energized, they are filled with an attitude, a mind, a disposition, a will, a passion, and all these characteristics produce a tremendous influence upon the thinking and actions of multitudes of citizens. This is what it really means "to be FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT"! It means to not only be filled with the consciousness of the Person and presence of the Holy Spirit of God, but to also be filled with every characteristics within that Spirit: His nature, will, ways, virtues, disposition, purpose, power, etc.
Another example would be the realms of sight and sound. We know that the human ear is extremely limited. There are sounds which are inaudible to us if they are below or above a certain range of frequency. . .the same is true of sight. The existence of radio waves, gamma rays, ultraviolet light rays, etc., help us to realize the power of invisible forces which are beyond our comprehension. So then, in Ephesians 2:2 Satan is described as “the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.” The Amplified Bible says, “At one time. . .you were following the course and fashion of the world. . .following the prince of the power of the air. You were obedient to him and were under his control, the demon spirit that still constantly works (Greek energeo, meaning: energizes) in the sons of disobedience. . for we are not wrestling with flesh and blood — contending only with physical opponents — but against despotisms, against the powers, against the master spirits who are the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (spiritual) sphere” (Ephesians 2:2,6-12).
Satan is a spirit. And, if I may be so bold, I would go as far as to say that this spirit is in fact the fallen spirit of man. What this means is that we were born with the power of this FALSE GOD within us! This comes as a revelation to us when we see that the Holy Spirit lives and moves and is energized in those who have been “begotten of God” and “born of the Spirit”. To quote Ray Prizing, “Lucifer didn't [merely] fall, he was thrust into the negative realm to become the loyal opposition. He was part of the glory of Christ - the covering cherub, therefore he will be restored. Jesus prayed, "Restore to Me the glory I had before".
There is a SPIRIT within us that is born of God. . .that which has been renewed and raised up within us in the image of God. But, just as the Holy Spirit is working in (energizing) the children of God, there is also an opposite spirit working within (energizing) the children of disobedience. The apostle John said, “Ye are of God, little children. . .because greater is HE that is IN YOU, than HE that is IN THE WORLD (meaning our "earth").” (1 John 4:4). Then, two verses later, John clearly identifies these two spirits which are in the people of God and the people of the world: “We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” Paul adds to this testimony: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God” (1 Corinthians 2:12).
Spirit, like everything else in nature, has its opposites - positive and negative, good and evil, light and darkness. The negative power, Satan, is an invisible spiritual influence — ENERGY — which exerts itself upon the mind, desires, emotions, and will of men. What we call “flesh”, the “Adamic life”, and the “carnal mind”, is actually energized and activated by a LIFE principle. Understand this concept, and you will have understood where Satan’s seat is! “IN WHOM the god of this world hath BLINDED THE MINDS of them” (2 Corinthians 4:4). The Spirit of God is the Spirit of TRUTH; the spirit of the Devil is the spirit of ERROR. “To open their eyes, and turn them from darkness (wrong understanding, perverted knowledge) to light (truth), and from the power of Satan unto God” (Acts 26:18). In the sphere of the kingdom of God, there is but the ONE Spirit, for “he that is joined unto the Lord IS ONE SPIRIT” (1 Corinthians 6:17).
So, what then of the person who is not joined unto the Lord?
The fact that a thing is “spirit” does not necessarily make it equal to, or of the same character as God. God is not God because He is spirit. That which is spirit isn’t necessarily of the same mind and image of God just because it is spirit. Therefore, I propose that there must be something more that qualifies “spirit” to be GODHEAD.
The physical body is flesh from the very moment of its conception, but that is not to say that everything that is “flesh” is HUMAN! Thus, it must be man’s SUBSTANCE that constitutes his flesh, though his BEING is much more than mere substance! Obviously, there is more than one kind of flesh, so what makes a man human is not the fact that he is flesh (only). . .but, he is human because he takes on a particular shape (mass) and is endowed with an intellect and a certain set of emotions and capacities, but ALL FLESH IS NOT THE SAME FLESH! While it is true that all flesh came from the same creative hand of God, the quality and characteristics DIFFER. “Know ye not that he which is joined unto an harlot is. . ONE FLESH?” (1 Corinthians 6:16). Though there be many gods, and many lords, to us there is but ONE God, the Father; and though there be many spirits, to us there is but ONE spirit, and ONE body.
In the physical world a man’s substance is his flesh, but his being is his CHARACTER! This is also true of God. His substance is spirit — but His being is MUCH MORE THAN THAT! God is not God because He is spirit. God is God because He is LOVE! He is God because He is UNIFIED! God is spirit – spirit is His substance. God is love – LOVE is His being! God is a state of BEING. Love speaks of His plurality. And, without that plurality, God could not be “love” as a state of being. He could only have love for that which is outside Himself. God IS LOVE. And, Love is UNITY. Unity. . .is COHESIVE.
When God declares, ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is ONE LORD,’ He is declaring UNITY within the Godhead - the love and cohesive LIFE FORCE that exists among Elohim. This love is far more than a sentiment. This Love is a FORCE OF POWER. . .the very essence of the being of God BY VIRTUE of the cohesiveness of His plurality, and the nature that makes Him all that He is. “He that dwelleth in LOVE, dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16).
By the same token, whatever is not dwelling in love is not of God though it be constructed of the same substance. . .namely spirit. Where there is still EGO dividing a man’s spirit from the whole, there is not God, but Adam. Spirit isn’t “good”, nor is “evil”. Spirit is just a thing, just as flesh is a thing. This is the same principle which makes flesh neither good nor evil. It is just there!! Flesh BECOMES EVIL when its USE is perverted, just as flesh becomes good when it is properly used as the Temple of God or, in another manner of speaking, when it is used to give visible manifestation to the nature of God. As Paul said, “There is nothing impure of itself” and, “to the pure, all things are pure”. Spirit, then, like anything else is neither good nor evil until it is expressed through USAGE. Only then does it take on an evil or unrighteous CHARACTER.
“And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled. . .And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are.” (Revelation 20:2-3,10).
This passage of scripture deals with the judgment and destruction of Satan, which takes place in two aspects and stages: first a binding or imprisonment, then finally a casting into the lake of fire and brimstone. These first ten verses are not referring to the “first resurrection” nor the “millennium”, but are meant to display the overthrow of Satan! Of the four enemies of God’s Christ revealed in the Revelation — the beast, the false prophet, Babylon, and the dragon — the Dragon (Satan) is the CHEIF. All along Satan has been the real troublemaker, for he is called “that ancient serpent,” thus identifying him as the same old serpent who seduced Eve in the Garden. He is also the “devil” or “slanderer”, who accuses us before God within our earth (within ourselves), which is the spirit of condemnation. And he is “Satan,” the adversary, ever standing in opposition to test and try us in our SPIRITUAL walk in God, within our Heavenly realms. Unseen and unrecognized by many, “Satan” has always been behind the beast, the false prophet, and Babylon (civil, social, and religious systems formed out from the carnal minds of men), instigating and directing their every move! As seen in chapters seventeen through nineteen of the Book of Revelation, those three agents of his have already been destroyed within the Sons of God, although the full victory over the very last enemy, death will not be dealt with until chapter 20. Until THIS enemy has been fully dealt with in our lives (individually, as well as corporately), we will continue to be at war both internally and outwardly.
This is why Jesus said that no one can serve two masters, because there is no difference between the FORCES of the these opposing spirits as far as the COMPLETION of their work is concerned, for whichever one is SEATED upon the throne of our heaven (minds) is continuously working to FILL our earth (beings) COMPLETELY with either LIGHT or DARKNESS. . .LIFE or DEATH. . .making our very beings of one state or the other. In the eyes of the Father, there is NO STATE OF INBETWEEN!! We were born into darkness and so the spirit of DEATH forever seeks to completely and forever keep its hold on us. But once the Light of the Day Star dawns in our hearts, we have the assurance of The Father that He will carry out that for which He was sent. What glorious manner of truth is hidden in all our life experiences! Not one of our thoughts is wasted on God for everything we could ever imagine had its purpose fulfilled in Him first and foremost! Everything that man could ever discover or know about the physical realm is but a manifestation of the spirit realm.
Now, with spiritual eyes, let us read. . .
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Heaven is the spiritual realm which exists in our mind. In God’s perfect will, once Satan has been cast out of our “heaven”. . .he must also be cast out of our “earth” until Jesus is sitting upon the Throne of our entire being. . .having put our “earth” under His feet once and for all! This is the completed work. The Son, having displaced the darkness by the Power of the Holy Spirit, will also transfigured our mortal bodies by the Light of His Life as a Force! This, my friend, is Kingdom of God manifested in YOU!
